DC and West Virginia hospitality

We met the some wonderful people in Montreal, who asked if we were planning to see DC.  They invited us to stay at their place as long as we would like. They have a tennis court and neighbours with horses so this was not a hard sell for any of us.  They also connected us up with a half price camping club plus camping by donation at catholic church sites in Quebec.  All of this was nothing compared to how they took us in and treated us like family.
On the way to WV we saw sights.
A row of Excursions at Gettysburg.
This is the scene of an important Union victory in the Civil War, followed 4 months later by Abraham Lincoln's speech, which is the most famous presidential address ever given.

We continued on and passed over the Shanendoah River into the Blue Ridge Mountains.  We learned a little John Denver to mark the occasion.
Looking back at Pennsylvania.

On the WV. side of the river.
 Life at the Edgar's

picking up 30 balls can be fun.

Anyone want to buy a 10 acre lot in the Smoke Hole area?  What a place to play.

HOLD ON! She's gonna roll!

Lots of deer in these hills, but only one fish and he wasn't hungry.
The mountain folk were not on any side but their own during the Civil War.  They would attack Confederates or Union soldiers to keep them out of their mountains.

The name's Bond..... Tori Bond.

These guys are serious about fun.
